Tap dance lessons for kids
Tap dancing is a high-energy style that teaches our dancers rhythm, timing, musicality and co-ordination.
Our tap classes are offered for all ages at Jigsaw Dance – from primary school age dancers through to our high school aged dancers. With the focus being on tap skill progressions, technique in our tap classes is essential.
Music and choreography incorporate modern as well as classic ‘old style’ tap dances….as we know how important it is for a well-rounded dancer to know the history and fundamentals of the art.
Classes at our 4 locations are directed by a set syllabus and all our tap dancers have the opportunity to be assessed on their progress with our internal medal testing exams which gives our dances a goal to work towards each year.
All teachers have been trained with our program to ensure all our dancers are developing and learning at a consistent pace.
